There are so many wonderful dogs that have originated from all over the world. But what better day than the 4th of July weekend to celebrate the breeds that originated in the United States?
Can you guess what the most common and wonderful "breed is"? It is the "Mutt". Although not a true "breed" - the all American mixed breed mutt is the most common dog. It can be a combination of any breed and come in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors.
However, there are also several "Made in America" purebred dogs. In fact, one of the American dogs that was displayed on World War II posters as a symbol of courage and bravery. Do you know which one it was? It was the American Staffordshire terrier.
